Le Grand Boucan de Saint Gilles les Bains à La Réunion rassemble toutes les ethnies de l’île. Même si cette année le thème était la préhistoire, chacun est venu représenter sa passion, sa culture et ses traditions dans un mélange de musiques, de danses et de couleurs. Accompagné par la foule, le roi Dodo, personnage emblématique et fédérateur, se dirige vers l'esplanade des Roches Noires pour y être brûlé. Ce sera l'un des moments forts de ce carnaval et le début d'une fête qui se poursuivra jusqu'au bout de la nuit.
The Grand Boucan of Saint Gilles les Bains at La Réunion mix together all the ethnic groups of the island.
