Le plateau de Tyé surplombe la tribu, non loin de Poindimié. Pour y accéder, il faut emprunter un chemin de terre qui part à l’assaut de la colline et serpenter quelques minutes entre ornières et hautes herbes. La haut, la vue est grandiose : La baie s'offre à vous avec au loin ses ilots et un littoral à couper le souffle. Puis, on aperçoit l'église, lovée tout en bas, avec son fier clocher et ses toits rouges. Ensuite, la balade vous emmène à la découverte des vallées cachées, par delà les niaoulis aux formes étranges et torsadées. Il est temps de redescendre, la boucle du chemin nous ayant ramené sur nos pas en nous offrant une dernière fois le spectacle de la tribu en contrebas et les bancs de sable qui la protègent.
The plateau of Tyé overlooks the tribe, not far from Poindimié. To get there, you have to take a mud trail that starts on the hill and meanders for a few minutes between ruts and tall grass. On top, the view is magnificent: The bay is offered to you with far off its islets and a breathtaking coastline. Then you can see the church, coiled up below, with its proud bell tower and red roofs. Then, the walk takes you to the discovery of hidden valleys, beyond the niaoulis with strange shapes and twists. It
is time to go down again, the loop of the road having brought us back
by giving us one last time the spectacle of the tribe below and the
sandbanks that protect it.
